Kalachakra Mandala, ‘The wheel of time’ explains, ‘time has no beginning and ending points, it is like a circle, that is why one has to perform the action on time to achieve the goal, otherwise, it runs faster than our action’.
The structure of the Mandala is the bird’s eyes view of the stupa, Budhist Temple. It is the graphic and astrological representation of the universe . And it is the Yantra for meditation and yoga.
In the Painting, there are six rings with six different colors represent six elements: wisdom, space, wind, fire, water, and the earth, 12 gates in four different directions with four different colors showing four different time sections of whole day, three gates in each direction represent body,speech and mind. The center part of the mandala is called the Nirvana, which is here represented by the lotus flower is the symbols of peace, purity and compassion.And the rays of lotus on the background of the mandala makes it beautiful ,attractive, and soothing.
